Twentieth Anniversary of Business

October, 2004: The dream began when Leslie Knipe and Joseph Sheehy, husband and wife, purchased 12 acres on the western hillside of Keuka Lake, in Hammondsport, New York. They searched to find the perfect piece of land and chose the current location for the beautiful view of the lake, the air flow, and the rocky, clay, loam, and soil.

May, 2006: Riesling vines were planted on 2 acres of the property. Riesling, a cold, hearty variety that was originally produced in Germany and then later grafted onto a local grape rootstock (239/3309), was chosen for its adaptability to the area. The vines grew rapidly during the summer of 2006.
